Tzaneen is the second largest town in the Limpopo province of South Africa and Tzaneen is seen as the 'capital' of the lovely Letaba District which are more than 20 00 square kilometers of tropical and subtropical farming in the Letsitele River Valley a real tourist destination with a variety of available accommodation in Limpopo, such as b&b's, guest houses, lodges, game farms and backpackers.

 

The Tzaneen, Limpopo, SouthAfrica area is where the Shangaans and the Sotho people originated and their ethnic cultures and lifestyles are shown in a living Museum in Tzaneen, on the Hans Merensky Nature Reserve.

 

The Hans Merensky Nature Reserve is an ideal Tourist rendezvous point and offers nearby accommodation and lots of information on Limpopo.

 

The summer in Tzaneen, has above average rainfall and a very comfortable moderate temperature all year round. This ensures that Tzaneen is the place to grow nuts, avocado's, other vegetables and fruits all year round. Fruits include bananas, mangoes, litchis and all citrus fruits. Tzaneen, is also the ideal place to grow coffee, tea and cotton. and boasts lush green tea plantations for export.

Tzaneen is the ideal place for tourists to explore the lovely region of Limpopo, and can be reached via the R71. Tzaneen's unique, natural scenery provides a stunning background for all the recreational and other tourism products and tourism services on offer.

 

Tzaneen, invites you to linger awhile and enjoy the rivers, waterfalls and dams, the villages, the roadside stalls and tea gardens, the unique range of bird species, trees, plants and animal life - to reach out and experience the diversity of many peoples and to listen to the legends and other stories associated with their vibrant history.

 

Another tourism destination is the King Waldens family gardens in Agatha. Here everyone can relax in the serene setting for a picnic. The King Walden offers superb, traditional, "colonial' accommodation with a 3 star guest house. Visitors will enjoy the original, turn of the century antique family heirlooms and african artifacts.
