Phalaborwa, Limpopo, South Africa is situated within walking distance of the Phalaborwa entrance to the Kruger National Park, a great tourist destination. This form an ideal base from which to explore this famous nasional game reserve, with the comfort of many accommodation options and a shopping mall for convenience. Phalaborwa is the wildlife hub of Limpopo, South Africa and is surrounded by all kinds of game farms, lodges and nature reserves. The tourist has a host of accommodation options to choose from such as Bed and Breakfast, Camping, Caravaning, Hotels and Inn's.

 

The world-renowned Hans Merensky's 18 hole golf course is also located in the Limpopo Province at Phalaborwa. They have stunning grounds and with a constant stream of wildlife through the course it makes for a great Tourist attraction. Real memories are made when golfers and game share the same greens or even a fairway!

 

The Olifants river winds its way past Phalaborwa through the Klasserie Nature Reserve (an area of 62 500ha) and into the Kruger National Park. Along this river all the game can be seen including the Big 5. A Tourist attraction, apart from the Big 5 and other large mammals, is the fact that the river is home to an abundance of water creatures and a variety of birds. One way that all these can be enjoyed by travellers is on a boat Safari which can be booked by any info centre in Phalaborwa, South Africa!

 

At most of the Game Farms around Phalaborwa, Limpopo tourists can be fortunate enough to see lion, leopard, crocodile, wild dog and many other kills. This is an exciting adrenaline rush for which you will need a camera, as no one back home are going to believe you!
